Kanchan Khedekar

Kanchan Khedekar completed her Bachelors of Physiotherapy at Rajiv Gandhi University, India and later obtained a Master’s degree in Global Health and Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA (2013). She has experience in both hospital and clinic-based settings. Kanchan Joined BC-ICE Team in 2015 and believes in providing result-oriented patient care.
Over the years, Kanchan has gained practical experience in treating patients with different conditions including work related, post-operative, orthopedic, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, posture, neurological, chronic pain, headaches, jaw-related complaints/TMJ and vestibular.
Kanchan believes in developing a thorough understanding of the patient’s concerns and creating personalized goal-oriented treatment strategies. Her treatment involves combination of injury prevention, manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation.
Kanchan is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, Tulu and ensures effective communication during your treatment. In her free time, she loves playing badminton and table tennis, hiking, going for walks, practicing yoga and travelling.

Sharon Farquharson
Registered Physiotherapist, NZPT, CCTT

Sharon completed her Physiotherapy degree at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. She has mostly worked in orthopaedics, with a brief foray into geriatrics and pediatrics.
Over the years, Sharon has developed a treatment philosophy that combines patient education and exercise prescription with dedicated, one-to-one hands-on interaction with her clients, using a whole body approach.
She has a keen interest in Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) and orofacial pain and is a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She is always looking for avenues to improve and expand her knowledge base and techniques. At the same time, she is looking to complement her techniques with Osteopathy and Craniosacral Therapy, and is always eager to learn as she believes that no learning is ever wasted.
Sharon recently successfully completed the certification examination offered by the Physical Therapy Board of Craniofacial and Cervical Therapeutics (PTBCCT) to become a Certified Cervical and Temporomandibular Therapist (CCTT).
Sharon has also completed her training with Joy Moeller in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy and is now qualified to treat orofacial myofunctional disorders. Please read this for more information. She is also a Certifed Buteyko Breathing Instructor.

Reza Nematollahi
Registered Physiotherapist, PhD

Reza has worked as a physiotherapist for more than a decade and has a Doctorate in Physiotherapy (PT.PhD). He is experienced in the assessment and treatment of patients with various musculoskeletal and neurological disorders as well as sports-related injuries. He uses manual therapy, hands-on techniques, and exercise prescriptions to provide diagnosis and treatment of movement system impairments. He also has a certificate in Acupuncture and Dry Needling and is certified in custom orthotics. Reza is also experienced in managing tension-type headaches. His research and publications deal extensively with ACL injuries and rehabilitation.

Dante Li
Registered Massage Therapist

Dante is a massage therapist registered with CMTBC. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has strong understanding in human anatomy and kinesiology. Being an engineer with high standards and precision in the past, he treats every patient accurately and effectively. His approaches to massage therapy are mainly therapeutic, involving deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point release and joint mobilization techniques. In addition, Dante has also done much research and study in manual osteopathy. He is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
Dave Tam
Registered Massage Therapist

Dave graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy and is completing his Bachelor of Health Science.
As a competitive athlete interested in the sport of powerlifting, Dave has first-hand experience of the benefits of massage therapy. Dave has worked with clients from a variety of trades and professions, including recreational and competitive athletes.
Danlin Liang
Acupuncturist

Danlin Liang earned his medical degree and graduated from the Liaoning University of TCM. Danlin has many years of systematic and comprehensive medical training. He believes that Chinese medicine is an effective alternative and holistic medicine. He is committed to exploring Chinese Medicine from a science perspective and its application to improve mobility and overall health.
Danlin enjoys reading medical books and has a solid foundation and understanding of TCM diagnosis, TCM herbal formula, Acupuncture and Moxa Treatments and Western Medicine.

Elnaz Mirjafari
Kinesiologist

Elnaz obtained her first B.Sc degree in Sports & Physical Education. After her graduation, she earned her swimming referee certificate and swam competitively. As she was interested in sports injuries and their treatments, she pursued her education in physiotherapy and achieved a B.Sc. Soon after, she moved to Victoria and earned her M.Sc in kinesiology, with her research focused on the relationship between motor skills, perceptions of competence, and participation in active recreation and physical activities. While she was studying at the University of Victoria, she obtained her WaterArt Arthritis Instructor Certificate. After her graduation, she started working as a kinesiologist and gained more experience in working with clients with orthopedic injuries. She also has certificates in Mckenzie Part A – MDT: Lumbar spine and Mckenzie Part B – MDT: Cervical and Thoracic spine. She is currently working on her Pilates certification.
Elnaz believes in exercise and application of postural analysis, biomechanics and anatomy to minimize the risk of injury and to strengthen the spine, all skeletal joints and various muscles. She also believes that exercise can improve body’s ability to move with greater fluidity and ease. It can benefit individuals who suffer from debilitating effects of various orthopedic injuries.
Her goal is to help athletes, orthopedically injured clients and ICBC clients return to their optimum level of function safely and efficiently. She always seeks new methods that can help her clients reach their optimum level.
She is a big fan of swimming, pilates and travelling. In her free time she enjoys paddle-boarding, dancing, and walking by the ocean.
Weyni Mahari
Medical Office Assistant
Weyni graduated from Vancouver Community College in 2022 as a Medical Office Assistant, where she developed skills in managing medical office operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient records, and assisting with billing and insurance processing. She speaks both English and Tigrinya, which helps her communicate with a diverse range of patients.
Sunny Sun
Operations Manager

Sunny graduated from Accounting and Payroll from the CDI College in Vancouver. She specializes in billings, payroll, and supply management. Sunny is responsible for ensuring that BC-ICE has the best equipment available for clients to use in their treatment and exercise programs.
Sunny is fluent in both English and Chinese.
Archie Parhar
Owner/Manager

Archie is the office caretaker who retired after a lengthy career in welding in Northern British Columbia. He currently assists with administration and maintenance.
Due to his children’s commitment to health and education, Archie and his wife started BC-ICE to ensure that all injured patients can access treatments even if they cannot afford it.
In his spare time, Archie enjoys exercising, walking his dog (Tiger), and driving his teenage grandchildren to activities.
